Achalasia is a rare disorder of the esophagus (the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach) in which the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) fails to relax properly during swallowing. This results in difficulty in passing food into the stomach, leading to accumulation in the esophagus and gradual dilation of the tube. The exact cause is unknown but may involve nerve damage in the esophageal wall or autoimmune response.
Homeopathy treats Achalasia by improving nerve coordination of the esophagus, promoting natural relaxation of the LES, and relieving associated symptoms like spasm, regurgitation, and anxiety. Remedies are selected according to the patient’s constitution, emotional state, and particular symptom pattern. Homeopathy helps reduce discomfort, improve swallowing, and support long-term digestive balance.
